This solution offers a new lease of life for public waste collection points.

Nowadays, the annual production of municipal solid waste already exceeds 2 billion tonnes per year, or an average of 0.74kg per inhabitant per day in the world* and this figure is certainly not going to decrease over the years as the world’s population grows and rapidly urbanizes. As a matter of fact, the amount of waste generated is projected to increase by 70% over the next 30 years, which means we could create as much as 3.4 billion tonnes of trash annually by 2050. Waste management is a real challenge in the world and we need to tackle this issue now.

Wasteloop is a path-breaking waste disposal system developed in Switzerland, making waste management easier to handle thanks to a novel method of waste disposal and recycling that sets new standards in ecological efficiency.

The system electrical forklift trucks are capable of lifting to a height of 3.5 meters with a load capacity of up to 6 tons. Powered by renewable energy, the new electric forklift truck represents efficient mobility without pollution or noise emission.

In addition to the electric truck, the capacity of its screw compactors is up to 470 garbage bags, representing sufficient capacity for the contents of 28 conventional containers.

Furthermore, they are equipped with a radio transmitter that reports the current filling level to operational headquarters. The containers are emptied only when they are entirely full.

Thanks to screw compactors and the intelligent reporting method, transportation trips are reduced by up to 30%.

In conclusion, compared to conventional systems, Wasteloop reduces CO2 emissions by 100% and energy expenses by an impressive 80%. This solution represents a genuine waste disposal and recycling system to tackle waste management issue.
